Carbon Monoxide Poisoning

In the U.K., an average of 30 people a year are killed via carbon monoxide poisoning.

The awful fact about carbon monoxide poisoning is that the gas in question is a silent killer. It does not announce its presence; it is a gas which has no smell, taste, or colour.

And most people are exposed to the devastating effects of carbon monoxide poisoning via central heating boilers, whether in their own home, their place of work, or on holiday. And all too often its blame in accidents is overlooked.

The symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning include dizziness; difficulty in breathing; and, sickness.

Because it is difficult to spot and diagnose, many people have been repeatedly exposed over a long period of time to the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The U.K. Government has recently warned GPs to remember to consider the effects of carbon monoxide poisoning when they examined patients who were complaining of headaches and general restlessness.

The effects of carbon monoxide poisoning can last for years and cause permanent problems.
